LIVONIA, MICHIGAN
Eganix, Inc partnered with OHM Advisors and the City of Livonia to design and implement ‘Overwatch,’ the Advanced GIS Analytics for FOG Maintenance and Prevention System, a comprehensive sewage management solution utilizing a cost-efficient, highly effective, and simplified tech platform.
This innovative software saves the municipality countless hours of collection, system maintenance, and operation and those associated costs and creates a healthier all-around environment for residents and businesses.
A pilot for this program kicked off in September 2023. The City of Livonia turned it into a full-time ongoing program in August 2024, going from 50 inspection points to 280 inspection points within the system.
Not only does this real-time management software reduce ongoing FOG presence, it will also drastically decrease organic load, TSS (Total Suspended Solids), PFAS and more. And as need arises in the community, the program can expand to monitor and report on additional data points.
